Union Sisumaga is a Savings + Insurance scheme, which provides your child regular assured sums over a period of 8 years, thereby ensuring an uninterrupted education for your child. The amount also increases each year, taking into account the escalating costs of education.

 

 

Your only requirement is to pay the premium for a fixed period, which you may decide. The premium will be determined according to the payment period, age of the policyholder and the total amount you want your child to receive. The payment period and the pay-back amount can be customised to your specific requirements.

At the end of the agreed period, Union Sisumaga will commence paying your child the sum assured in 8 annual installments. For instance, from GCE O/Levels until completion of University and professional education. This is equal to 124% of the sum assured.

In case of an unfortunate eventuality befalling the policyholder during the premium paying period:

• Future premiums waived off.
• Twice the basic sum assured paid immediately if natural death or 4 times the sum assured paid in case of accidental death.
• Annuity payments tripled.
• Accumulated bonus up to the date of death is also paid.

In case of an unfortunate eventuality during benefit payment period:

• Double the sum assured paid immediately.
• Balance annuity payments tripled.
• Along with vested bonus, accrued up to the date of death will be paid.

Benefits payable in case of total and permanent disablement of the insured due to accident or sickness:

• Future premiums waived off.
• Annuity payments tripled.
• Amount equal to sum assured paid in 10 equal annual installments.
